novelSORP
2013-09-01 to 2015-10-31
Project description
Research cooperation in the field of sorption heat storage was established with our project partners. In the Austrian lead project “novalSORP” researchers join forces to reach a technological leap in the application of heat stores.
Thermal energy storage gets more and more important for the integration of renewable energy. One of the most promising technologies are sorption stores. Previous research shows the high potential of sorption systems for heat storage, but also the extensive development needs for a marketable technology.
Focus of the project is led on new, high-functional and simultaneous low-cost sorption materials as well as on innovative system components in various application fields in terms of short-time and long-time heat storage.
